The Be-novative apps are developed by an international team. The company’s a headquarters is in Silicon Valley, USA but the software development division is in Europe, Hungary.

Besides our permanent team, we involve talented people in developing our apps who are game changers themselves, care about creating opportunities and connecting people through inspiration and novel ideas who want to make a difference. They join our creative team meetings or our Facebook page for developers in Hungarian. The world is our playground.

The founders

Priszcilla Várnagy

Pris is the CEO, co-founder and game designer of Be-novative with an organizational and educational psychology background and expertise in the innovation field. Before Be-novative, she had her specialization of Master’s studies in organizational and work psychology together with educational psychology in Budapest and Copenhagen with an interest in creativity and self-development. At the age of 20, she was the leader of the educational section of the national youth association ’New Generation’ and the secretary of the liberal educational cabinet, writing articles and organizing several national campaigns and conferences on developing students’ skills. Before graduation, she started working with TREBAG and Net-Mex as a researcher-developer and managed over 15 R&D and innovation consultancy projects in large enterprises and European Lifelong Learning consortia. She wrote the successful project proposal and 2,5 years’ workplan of the OpenInn ICT project, which is supported by the European Commission to be implemented in 8 countries. The project idea involves developing methods enhancing creativity and opening new career opportunities for youth through joining open innovation. Thanks to an early stage success and her interest in creativity, innovation technologies and serious games, she formed the idea of Be-novative. Besides work, she likes sports, did 7 years of kung-fu and won a national kung-fu competition. She likes to cook vegan in styles of Italian, French, Asian, Mexican, African and reform.

István Marhefka

Istvan is the CTO and co-founder of Be-novative. He got his MSc degree in computer science at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2005. During his academic years he had been working for several software development companies. He delivered successful softwares in various business fields, such as banking, military, education, telecommunication and energy. Within the last 5 years he works as a lead developer. He regards it as his primary task to understand the client’s way of thinking, the business environment and problem in each of his projects to be able to fully satisfy the clients’ needs. He believes, it is only possible to develop a good software if the developer becomes an expert himself in the given business field as well. He is sharing this way of thinking, too in his blog in Hungarian (http://infokukac.com). Besides project works, he mentors his direct colleagues as well. He was a silver medalist twice at the International Olympiad of Informatics (1997. Cape Town, South-Africa, 1998. Setúbal, Portugal) as part of the Hungarian team of four. Besides his work, he studies acting, dubbing and sings in a chorus.
